After almost 3 years of playing IRT tournaments in the U.S. training, learning and have been improved my racquetball skills and tecniques and then gather a lot of information and experience in different training of coaches and instructors like Jim Winterton , Jo Shattuck , Dave and Jhon Ellis , Jason Manino and many others racquetball masters while playing the highest level of racquetball in the world is that I have decided to return to Bolivia to bring South America The new Racquetball training Academy which offers great experience and hard work in training and tactical psychological techniques as well as physical ever seen in South America. I am pleased to announce the Academy of fully certified Racquetball IPRO Ampro Now in Bolivia.

  • Bolivian Power in Minneapolis

    After 14 years in Memphis, the US OPEN Racquetball Championships will be moving to the great City of Minneapolis in 2010 and beyond. USA Racquetball is proud to bring the sport of racquetball’s top professional event to Minneapolis. The largest “Grand Slam” event will attract the biggest names in professional racquetball from the Men’s International Racquetball Tour (IRT), Women’s Professional Racquetball Organization (WPRO) and the Classic Pro Racquetball Tour (CPRT). Players will be competing for a prize purse total over $48,000 this year. The event is hosted by LIFE TIME FITNESS at three facilities with the Target Center location as the main host club. The amateur divisions attract nearly 700 players that come from all over the world. This event begins Wednesday, Oct. 20 and ends Sunday, Oct. 24. Aside Bolivians players are ready for this big Tournament Roland Keller, Carlos Keller, Kadim Carrasco, Jenny Daza and Masiel Rivera all of them will compete Pro Qualifier Divisions, the Bolivian power will be showed in Minneapolis this year and we hope to see more level and players the next years!

  • Bolivia 2009 Bolivarian Champion!!

    The XVI Bolivarian Games (Spanish: Juegos Bolivarianos) were a multi-sport event held in 2009 in Sucre, Bolivia. The competitions in Sucre took place from 15–26 November. A number of Bolivian cities hosted some of the sporting events, including Cochabamba, Santa Cruz and Tarija. Also, events were held outside of Bolivia, with Guayaquil, Lima and Quito hosting a number of competitions. The Games were organized by the Bolivarian Sports Organization (ODEBO).
    In Racquetball The last version of Bolivarian games in Sucre-Bolivia had a great level and fantastic matches ,players from Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela and Bolivia who played along a week traying to win the gold medal.
    Racquetball is groing up and southamerica every time is better than ever!!! congratulations Ricardo Monroy ,Carlos keller ,Jorge Zambrana ,Carola Loma, Yenny Daza and Yasmin Sabja ,The powerful Bolivian Team who won all the gold medals. Bolivia Do not leave the top of the podium Bolivarian last four events.The racquetball was the best showing in the XVI Bolivia Bolivarian Sports Games ,With these results were consolidated as the unbeatable team.

  • The Usa Open is the biggest Raquetball tournament in the world ! Players around the world are going to Menphis the next October 21-25 ,The 2009 14th US OPEN Racquetball Championships will be, at the Racquet Club of Memphis and will feature all of the top men’s players of the International Racquetball Tour (IRT), the women’s players of the Women’s Professional Racquetball Organization, (WPRO) and the Classic Pro Racquetball Tour (CPRT). The US OPEN is racquetball’s original and largest “Grand Slam” event and the most prestigous tournament of the season. The event will also offer amateur divisions for men and women and attracts players from all across the world.
    Last year, nearly 70 US OPEN champions were crowned and awarded the one-of-a-kind US OPEN gold medal that weighs nearly 2 pounds. Leading the entry list for the IRT is world No. 1 Kane Waselenchuk, defending US OPEN champion. Leading the women for the WPRO is world No. 1 Paola Longoria also the defending US OPEN champion. The Classic Pro Racquetball Tour (CPRT) will also feature Jimmy Lowe who will attempt to defend his US OPEN championship. Bolivian players like Roland Keller, Jenny Daza and Manuel Flores will play this big tournament, We hope every year more Bolivian players participiate in the internationals PRO tournaments.

  • As you know, Bolivia has produced good quality and advanced racquetball players. For 20 years now, new players are showing up at the racquetball courts all around the country. Players with enormous talent such as Gustavo Retamoso (La Paz), who became the first player to win medals for Bolivia. He has such amazing control and precision with his shots.

    Another player, Leo Sarmiento (La Paz), can hit the ball with both hands with the same amount of incredible power and control. However, his heart and determination was always his strongest asset. And the most incredible thing is he has only one leg! Many people think he could have been the best player in the world.

    Ivan Usin, who is from Santa Cruz, is an excellent player with great speed and very good technique. Gonzalo Amaya from Cochabamba is in great physical shape and he plays very smart and safe. He focuses on great preparation and consistency.Osvaldo Antezana who is also from Cochabamba is a player with a powerful and effective drive serve.

    Rogelio Medina (La Paz) is a crazy good player. He makes the game of racquetball look easy and beautiful with his amazing shots. Ricardo Monroy from Santa Cruz is the perfect example of psychological, physical and technical preparation. He is still playing and is currently the number 1 player in Bolivia. His talent, perseverance, discipline is the best example for kids all around Bolivia.

    Nowadays there are many young racquetball Open players, Jorge Zambrana,Santiago Canedo (He lives in chile),Felipe Mercado,Walter Almendares, Nelson Aguilar, Kadim Carrasco ,Roland and Carlos Keller ,Finally the last promise from Cochabamba Marcelo Vargas (junior) 12 years old and World Junior Champion 2007.

    How doesn’t talk about the women, wonderful girls have been playing around the Bolivia , Maria Fernanda Romero (Santa Cruz) many times National champion, she has a extraordinary talent the precision in every shot grate player, Yaque Parada really good player ,She always is hungry to win amazing player and many titles for Bolivia. However I have to mention about grate racquetball players like Carola Loma, Yeny Daza, Yasmin Sabja and Maria Jose Vargas .
